Rustic Summer Wedding at Centennial Station // High Point, North Carolina Wedding Photographer
This wedding was so incredibly special! I met Jordan and Brad a little over a year ago at Centennial Station's wedding fair, and I was so excited they chose me to be a part of their day.
One of the most special details of the day were the pearls that lined the side of Jordan's bouquet, paired with a photo of her grandmother whose name was Pearl. You can tell how much Jordan and Brad treasure each and every family member and friend in their life, and I thought it was really special how they found ways to include people that couldn't be there on their day.
Undoubtedly, the single-best moment of the wedding was watching Brad's face as Jordan walked down the aisle. Any outsider watching in would've immediately seen and felt how much love they and both of their families share for one another. Moments like this are why I love this job so much.
I had every intention of shooting the couple's portraits outdoors, however mother nature had other plans! While shooting the family portraits, we noticed a massive storm cloud heading towards us and the wind was getting pretty crazy. We made it inside just in time for the sky to open up and deliver probably one of the biggest storms I've ever seen. So, we had to switch gears and plan for some indoor portraits!
I think bringing the portraits indoors actually brought more of the rustic style of the wedding to life. These photos of Jordan and Brad have such a timeless look to them that I really like, and I love how the photos of Jordan in the stairwell look like a painting.
I won't even lie, dragging myself away from the dessert table was a challenge. Sweete Sensations went above and beyond with these little, mini cupcakes—every single flavor was amazing!
Foam glow sticks are easily the coolest way to do a wedding exit, no doubt about it! These were so much fun, and a really unique twist on the traditional exit.
Jordan and Brad, thank you so much for having me be a part of your day! I wish you both the absolute best, and many more happy years to come!
