Heritage Park Family Session | The Li's | Blacksburg, Virginia Family Photographer
After moving all the way to Blacksburg from Chicago, this sweet family of 4 wanted to capture the beauty of the new scenery they now called home: the mountains! There’s not a lot of places you can get sweeping views of the landscape of this area without hiking a mountain, and that’s obviously usually out of the questions for families. I suggested my go-to spot for photos of all kinds (Heritage Park) for the Li’s, and I think the results turned out beautifully. While there’s lots of grassy areas framed by big trees here, you can also get some gorgeous, wide-open views of the surrounding mountains. It was a strange day, shrouded mostly by lots of clouds and haziness, but a good 2-hour window of sun opened up just as the session began, almost like someone flipped a switch. Shortly after the photos started, I did find out that the shoot would topped off with a trip to Sugar Magnolia, and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better way to end the day.
Thanks to this lovely family for having me take their photos this fall! It was a pleasure meeting you all :)
