Backyard Mountainside Engagement Session | Shelby and Trevor | Giles County, Virginia

If you know me at all, then you’ll know I’m a big fan of including dogs in engagement shoots (or any shoot, really). So you can imagine including Shelby and Trevor’s pup, Miss Elle, was no exception to this. I took Shelby’s senior photos a few years ago when she graduated from Radford, so I was really excited when she asked me to be her wedding photographer! She and Trevor are clearly crazy about each other, and made my job super easy.

We started off the shoot at the Mountain Lake overlook, one of my favorite spots in the area. I like that I can keep coming back here and still no two shoots end up looking the same. This was one of the first truly sunny days I’ve gotten to photograph people there, so I loved how “glowy” these images turned out.

Our second stop was actually in my backyard! I moved out to Giles County this Spring, and I was so excited to try out the wide open space for shoots. I loved how these turned out!

Miss Elle kept a close watch on the ring for a few detail shots. She was a top notch assistant, 10/10.

Looking forward to celebrating with Shelby and Trevor at their wedding this October!
